Raising the Vibe is a music & wellbeing festival seeking to unite and celebrate our youth. It will be a free, all ages event with a large focus on mental health set on Busselton's iconic foreshore on Saturday 16th October from 12-9pm.
The festival will not only raise awareness of mental health but also raise life changing funds for Headspace. The funds raised for Headspace Busselton will support the increasing demand for their services in the wake of the pandemic.
“Headspace Busselton welcome the support and will funds will be used towards improving the wait times for young people and increasing the resources at Headspace Busselton so to better support the young people, families and community and to help assist in the recovery of the pandemic.” - Marie Eckersley, Centre Manager
Raising the Vibe will include live music, wellbeing hubs, a skate zone, entertainment, food trucks and a wide range of activities. Taking centre stage will be hottest music acts Dulcie, Alter Boy, Joan & The Giants, Pretty Uglys, Sofia Watt, Fool Nelson, Jamie Hurst, Maya Ixchell and Cleo & Co.
The aim of the festival is to bring the community together for social and emotional connection whilst also educating the public on local support services within the region. Headspace, Lifeline WA, LAMP, GP’s down south and Blue Tree Project will all be working together on the day as a united body.
“It was important to us organising the event, that all support services worked together, because it is the only way we can make real change. We believe there is no competition in helping people” - Kendall Whyte. Blue Tree Project, CEO
After the challenging ride through 2020 - 2021 it's more important than ever to encourage community connection. Bringing the community together for social and emotional connection with this festival will create a safer environment for people to open up and help kick the stigma of mental health battles.
